kitchen utensils drawer
Organizing your home can be overwhelming. That is why it is best to tackle one area or section at a time. Your kitchen utensils drawer store everything from utensils and gadgets to foil and plastic wrap. However, none of those items are of any value to you if you’re unable to find them. By putting your drawers in order, your kitchen will immediately feel more manageable and you can move on to the next project.
Empty the contents of all of your kitchen drawers. If you simply have too many drawers, or if this seems too overwhelming, choose a drawer to organize first and empty all of its contents. Place everything on the kitchen table, large countertop or in a box.
Wipe out the empty kitchen utensils drawer with a sponge or disposable cleaning wipes and remove any crumbs and/or debris. Line all of the drawers with shelf liner, if they are not already lined.
Place utensils that you use on a daily basis in a small crock on your countertop next to your stove or in the area you do the most prep work. You can also mount strips with hooks over the stove or sink and hang spatulas, ladles and other items you frequently grab.
Throw out items that just need to go. This would include threadbare towels, partially melted plasticware or broken utensils. Make a box to place items that are still in good repair but you just never use or have duplicates of and give them to a charity thrift store.
Place small bins or boxes inside of gadget drawers and keep like things together. Keep cookie cutters in one, small gadgets like lemon zesters in another. If you use lidded boxes, label them so you can find what you need at a glance.
Make use of trays, inserts and other organizational tools that are so readily available. Look for ways to maximize space and easily find what you need in kitchen utensils drawer.
